While taking a bath Archimedes discovered that the upward buoyant force that is exerted on a body immersed in a fluid is equal to the weight of the fluid that the...Показать больше
body displaces. He jumped out of the tub and ran naked through the streets of Syracuse, shouting "Eureka!". Since then, Eureka has been a happy cry when someone has solved a difficult task.
Iceberg challenges you to make a 3x3x3 cube out of the six polycubes and make it float on water as a self-supporting structure. We found that with pieces consisting of 3 till 5 cubes only three structures exist which are stable enough to float. This is one of these structures. Of the 864 assemblies, there is only one solution. Should you happen to find it, running around naked like Archimedes is at your own risk.
The pieces on offer are waterproof and have the right buoyancy/weight ratio for the challenge.
The whole comes with a stand so that it can put on display high and dry.
