My Xiaomi Mi Vacuum had problems to clean a high pile carpet, because the cliff sensors always detectet false positives. So I attached the cliff sensor covers from
...Show more mdpautzke. Those solved the issue a little bit, but I recognized that in some cases the covers are to close to the sensors and sender and receiver unit can not do their work properly.
So, based on the idea of mdpautzke, I redesigned it by my own. The main differnce is that I added a bevel to the inner side of the cover. This prevents the cover to be attached to close to the sensor and keeps a small gap for proper work of the sender and receiver unit.
(Design tested with Xiaomi Mi Vacuum V1)
Remember that the cover disables the cliff sensor. So do not attach them if the Xiaomi Mi Vacuum has to detect cliffs/stairs.
