Model Description
3D model of dennedesigns
The models were repaired and checked for printability.

A solid has a circular base of radius 1. Parallel cross-sections perpendicular to...Show more the base are equilateral triangles. This solid is approximated by 20 equilateral triangular prisms. This approximation illustrates how the volume of the solid is found using an integral of the cross-sectional slices.

This model was designed and printed by my WLU summer research student Emily Jaekle ('16).

This object was made on a MakerBot2X. We used the following settings:
2 shells
0.20mm layer height
10% infill (hexagonal pattern)
no supports
raft off
