About ZERO

ZERO is a 3D FFF - Fused Filament Fabrication printer - which combines advanced technology with ease of use. We could not overlook the difficulties that many users face when interacting with 3D printers and focusing on this issue we have developed our solution. Zero is designed to simplify and speed up the interaction between man and machine to the point of considering it directly related to our mind. We have a self-calibration system because we know perfectly well that this operation is one of the most demanding, we've got systems that considerably reduce the risk of printing failure because we did not want to stop the creative process. With the 3D ZERO printer we wanted to respond to the real needs of makers, professionals, of anyone who has dreams and ideas to realize. We have listened to you and gave you a concrete answer that we invite you to try.

SIAREN 2.0

No knobs. No click.

Siaren is the most intuitive user interface we've ever developed: four main icons group all the features available to allow the user to access the commands quickly and easily. No knob, no click, the 3.5 "touch screen display will allow you to handle everything with the touch of your finger. The Siaren interface was also updated to version 2.0, an improved version and mix of functionality, aesthetics of the system and symbolic dimension.

The buttons and the icons created have graphics that try to make sense of the feature they refer to, even though they are not too far from the basic models with which conventional commands are conventionally identified in 3D printing.

The temperature setting screen has been changed, now with a numeric keypad you can type and set the desired temperature directly.

The axis axle command has also been improved, allowing the choice of different orders of magnitude for the movement of both axes and extruders.

The bulb icon has been enlarged and flanked by the reset button icon that allows you to stop the job at any time. A new feature introduced in the Siaren 2.0 is that for screen locking, pressing the padlock icon disables the screen by asking for the unlock code to be inserted.

Finally, at the top right of the screen, the icon of the Filament Guardian has been inserted which, from ignition, allows you to see if the filament is present or not, in fact, if the filament does not have a red x placed above the filament, an icon will indicate the anomaly.

Auto calibration

Just the time to start

The most complicated part of using a 3D printer lies in the calibration of the printing plate. We tried to solve this problem and we developed our self-calibration system. The 3D Zero printer comes with two calibration systems:

The first allows alignment of the print head with respect to the worktop by means of a three-axis motor (patented), the second, by implementing the MarlinKimbra firmware using the Bilinear Calibration, compensates for the different heights of the work plane, through a measurement on a nine point grid made with a contactless inductive probe.

It is supplied with a single extruder but it can be requested and used for the support material or for double staining.

Movement

Renovated Hbot

We chose X and Y axis movement for a system driven by two stepper motors, each handling a strap to allow Cartesian movement to the extrusion apparatus. A change has also been implemented: instead of having motors directly connected to the straps, a motorcycle reduction has been introduced, which allows you to maintain high speed without loss of footsteps.

Resolution

The quality first of all

We chose for the Z axis movement three stepper motors that operate three trapezoidal bars with a maximum resolution of up to 5 microns. This allows the 3D Zero printer to deposit layers up to 20 microns.

Filament guardian

Ends the thread but does not print

If the filament ends you will no longer have to give up your object. The 3D Zero Printer is able to figure out whether the filament is finished and save the print job and then restart it once you have refilled the filament.

Phoenix system

Stop. Stop. Get back when you want.

The power outage will never cause the failure of your printing. The 3D Zero Printer is able to figure out whether it is power-off and saving the print job. The sd-card will save a restart.gcode file that can be started from the 3D printer display that will start to warm up and then start from where it was interrupted. This system also allows you to manage the printing process, can be paused or stopped and then resume it later.
