The Noir is a fairly robust machine and it can print quite fast, especially for large objects. However, others have said that a Saturn can print the same (small) file in almost half the time. Settings maybe?
The price and availability of the replacement monochrome LCD screen is the only real drawback coming in at around $450. Screen life tends to vary. Ours failed within less than 200 hours of use, yet it was marketed as around an average life of 2000 hours when purchased. The marketing has since dropped it to 1200 hours; noticed when the failure occurred. We were lucky enough to get it warrantied out, but it's a good idea to have another sitting there ready to go should it fail.
The new Prime upgrade is coming out to provide a 5.5K resolution compared to its current 4K. This should give even higher resolution with around the same print speed.
The unit is a good workhorse, but could use some extra bracing behind the Z rack like was done on Peopoly's XXL model. Too much model suction on the FEP causes flexing at the upper wall portion where the Z rack is mounted. When the model finally releases from the FEP, a resounding thud can be heard and seen as the wall springs back into place; like an oil can effect. This hasn't caused a noticeable issue with the quality of a print, but more of a concern with wear on the unit over time.
