This is a set of big guns, all fitting a common mount. There is one cannon, inspired by historic naval cannons, but with a sci-fi twist. Also, there is a rotary autocannon, a missile launcher and a particle blaster (or any kind of energy weapon).
So far, this set can stand on it's own. But I will release other models that have a rail fitting the gun sled. Please comment on what piece you would like to see a compatible mount for. Also feel free to add your own compatible weapons or mounts.
With the sled, a weapon has 3 degrees of freedom. It can slide back and forth. For instance, out from cover into firing position. It can turn left and right and it can tilt up and down. You can of course glue them down.
Each weapon prints with the barrel pointing upwards. No supports needed. Each weapon also has a back that prints standing on the bottom. Print one of each and snap fit them on. Use a drop of your favorite glue too.
I have simply painted them black and given them a silver drybrush. Some details were painted. The coils on the particle blaster were painted blue, then drybrushed lighter, inked green and highlighted with white. Missiles simply painted red. Barrels of the autocannon were painted silver, then gradually toned copper, purple and blue. Finally the tip of the barrel were painted black.
