the bird keep the balance because the barycentre stay just under the beak !
this model is formed by two parts. They can slide, allowing you to find the balance point.
the weight of the front part is given by two coins. in this way the model is very flexible and it does not requires sofisticated calculations.
you should compose the two parts, charge with some money, put them on the little tree and make them slide, till you reach the balance !!!
the model could be useful to explain and discuss the basics of gravity, balance, barycentre etc. and to test these concepts.
